Wonderful news, Allison.PatThrowing confetti in the air
Wahoo and way to go, Allison! Break open that bottle of champagne!
Allison, this is the most exciting news.Congratulations and may this success continue with each release.
Huge contratulations, Allison! May this be the first of many bestseller list appearances! I've dug out the the special occasion gold glitter confetti to toss up in the air for you! (Uh, we do have a blog sweeper-upper here, don't we?)
Heartfelt congratulations, Allison! And such well-deserved success!! Told you privately, I could not stop turning the pages. You've penned an incredibly gripping book and it is wonderful to see you and the book reaping such fine recognition.Enjoy every sweet moment! So happy for you,Sue-Ellen Welfonder
Splendid news, Allison! The Prey has to be one of the best books I've read in ages. Kept me breathless, start to finish. It's a joy to watch all the acclaim rolling in for you.Well done!Mega-congrats,Allie Mackay
Allison, so fun to say we knew you when...and then watch you soar. Thanks for letting us share the excitement. JoAnn and Pat, if you guys insist on bringing the confetti, I guess we'll have to hire that sweeper-upper. (The nice thing about e-land, it's very cheap.)Allie and Sue-Ellen, it's so nice to see you both here.
I think we should begin holding interviews for that sweeper-upper ASAP. I have a couple Cajun hunks waiting in the wings who could use the work until I get around to writing their books. Also have an Irish guy who once went underground in the IRA who looks really good in his pub apron. I've no doubt every writer here has loads of candidates. With so many bloggers representing so many books (and hunky males), choosing the perfect sweeper upper could be a long, time consuming task, but we'll all just have to make the sacrifice if we want a tidy blog. (And think of the scenery on sweep days!) LOL
Well, Alfie ... with Sue-Ellen absolutely swimming in simultaneous deadlines these days, I thought she wouldn't notice if I popped up to congratulate Allison on her phenomenal debut. I try to keep a low profile, you see. If Sue-Ellen catches me flitting about her office, she might nab me and insist I help her write my books! And, of course, I'd rather walk her dog or ride her bike. Maybe even sneak off to Scotland when she isn't looking. One thing I will be doing is rubbing my hands together in anticipation of Allison's next release. The Hunt, I think? Sue-Ellen won't have time to read it, of course. But I sure will!Looking forward to it,Allie Mackay
Congrats, Allison! I'm so looking forward to reading your book -- it's my reward for switching classrooms this week (after that comment about teaching in my boys' former kindergarten classroom, I've been moved because of class sizes. At least I'm at the same school.)So, when the last table is in place, I'm putting my feet up and preparing to be swept away by your story, Allison! Can't wait.Terry
Wow! I disappear for two days and find this fabulous thread!Thank you so much for all the kudos. I'm sure everyone here feels the same, there's something really special about your first book no matter what happens with the sales. To hit USAT with my first book is surreal. I'll be remembering this for a long time . . . like Pat Kay wrote in one of the newsletter, I want to savor and enjoy every step of the process. Now I have to get writing.Oh, and JoAnn, I have some ideas about a sweeper-upper . . . though your irish dude sounds heavenly. I have a thing for the Irish.
Congratulations, Allison! I picked up a copy today at the grocery store. Can't wait to read THE PREY!
