From a Reliable Source...

New Literary Agency Forming.

Although the official announcement is still pending, literary agents Scott Hoffman (PMA Lit and Film), Jeff Kleinman (Graybill and English) and Paige Wheeler (Creative Media Agency) have joined forces to create the Folio Literary Agency.

According to their new website, they intend to “provide regional and local publicity that can dramatically expand an author’s profile and increase sales.”

This is really interesting. Of course, these days with the consolidation of distributors, it's much harder to build a readership locally or regionally that can be expanded outward into national sales, but they'll sure be interesting to watch and it'll be great news if they succeed in doing this. Even if they don't make the PR aspect work all that well, they certainly come to the table with strong agenting reputations and lots of top publishing contacts.
