Giving Thanks

I have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Good friends.

Good health. (Relatively speaking, though I could stand to lose a few pounds and exercise more.)

A fabulous new agent who believes in me.

Really. Life is pretty darn good, all things considered. *g*

So, what about you? What are you thankful for today?

Faye, wishing you all a healthy and happy Thanksgiving, full of family and friends and good memories in the making.

Where to begin? I'm thankful for my health, my husband, my family my dog, my friends, my job.

I'm thankful that I was born in this country and not Darfur.

I'm thankful that I don't wake up every morning fearful that I might be blown to smithereens by a car bomb on my way to the market.

I'm thankful that I don't have to rely on the goodness of others to put food on my table.

I'm thankful that I have never been the victim of a hate crime.

I'm thankful that I've never been molested by a family member, priest or any other pedophile.

I'm thankful that no one I love has even been killed by a drunken driver.

I'm thankful that my home has never been destroyed by a hurricane, tornado, earthquake, mudslide, tsunami or any other natural disaster.

Considering all the things that can go wrong in life, hey, I'm thankful just to be alive.

What Nancy said. Though, regarding her dog (whom, I've no doubt is super special) , I'm going to add that it's hard to have a bad day/life when your dogs greet you with crazed, gleeful abandoned welcome, even if you've only gone outside to check the mail!

Oh, and having been able -- thanks to incredibly loyal readers -- to spend the last two and a half decades working in my jammies is pretty cool, as well.

Blessings to all.
