I've Never Been So Thankful

I know we're supposed to be sharing good writing news on Thankful Thursdays, but if I wasn't alive or if I was seriously injured, I wouldn't be able to share anything, so what I'm thankful for today is that I walked away from an auto accident this past Monday morning that totalled my car. I'm bruised and sore and stiff, but I have no serious injuries and I'm feeling better every day. The accident was my fault, unfortunately. I pulled into a busy street thinking it was clear; I simply didn't see the woman who hit me.

So I'm giving thanks that I'm not only here, but I'm here with arms, legs, and everything else intact, which means I'll live to write another day . . . or two. :)

Thank God you're okay, Pat! It only takes a split second for our lives to change, doesn't it? I'm so happy no one was seriously hurt. Rest up. You should have time to get back in shape for NYC.

Pat,

Isn't it amazing how a near miss can make us realize how precious life is. I'm glad you had guardian angel looking out for you.
